Cabergoline for Cushing's disease: A case report.

چکیده

como la mayor dosificación (> 400 mg/día) podría favorecer la aparición de un síndrome de Cushing11. En consecuencia, debe tenerse especial precaución al utilizar AM por su acción sobre el eje del cortisol, dada la posibilidad de producirse, en un mismo paciente, un síndrome de Cushing y una IS posterior al retirar el AM bruscamente12. En conclusión, dado que el AM es un fármaco comúnmente utilizado en determinadas situaciones, se debe prestar especial atención a sus efectos secundarios, sobre todo aquellos en relación con el eje del cortisol por su mayor gravedad. Son necesarios más estudios para determinar en qué casos el paciente se beneficiaría del tratamiento con AM considerando el riesgo/beneficio, así como si debería suplementarse con corticoides exógenos empíricamente.
